Our friend Lutz, "aka" Lucky, is a Geman engineer with a passion for NAD gear. He insist it's the best sound in any league. He adore his NAD 6300 and nobody can argue with him because, indeed, the 6300 is one of the best recorders around! The nice thing is that you can grab one for a very reasonable price. Try one yourself: you wouldn't be dissapointed.
According to the Pioneer experts, the CT F1000 is one of the best sounding decks from that brand. Properly serviced is a gem and with those 19" rack handles look really sharp!
A nice close view of the still beutiful needle VU Meters. A reminder of the cassette hey days!
"I also have a BX-100, which had been gifted to me. It's amazing how well the BX series decks perform with minimal maintenance and there seems to be an abundance of good used ones out there." Nando

Our friend Nando is a fierce Pioneer Collector. He keep his pieces in pristine condition and enjoy making shootouts between systems. "My Pioneer CT-F1000 was purchased from a Tapeheads member, Robert. I have recorded a number of mix tapes for friends these past four years with it. It is one of my favourite Pioneer silver-series decks, and although it doesn't have as many features as more modern decks that followed it, it can record and play cassettes superbly." Nando
Nice cassette deck from 1979, offered as the 5741 to complement the "High Fidelity Laboratories" series.
Direct drive capstan motor mounted on a rubber suspended diecast mechanism. The inventors of the cassette tape knew what they were doing...

Bob's Philips cassette recorders are a darling to see. Just take a look of these fine examples in Bob's studios. "This is the PHILIPS N2552 from 1979. It's a fabulous 3 head cassette recorder that was offered (as PHILIPS 5741) to complement the "HIGH FIDELITY LABORATORIES" series. It has FERRITE heads and a tachometer controlled direct drive capstan motor. All these were mounted on a rubber suspended huge diecast mechanism. Fantastic sound." Bob
This NAD 6100 was a gift from Lutz (Lucky). According to Lutz, it's comparable to the Dragon. I can agree, since I heard Lutz' Dragon. It has a great soundstage, and just a powerful sound overall.
My first functional tape recorder. Great unit with two speeds, and three heads. Now playing some tunes from a 3M Scotch tape, SSS-Free with NuFinish!
It has a Magno-Control system. This system can sense the spool size, and adjust the brakes accordingly. When going from winding to play, unlike many other decks, it will first completely bring the tape to a halt before playing, preventing any stress on the tape.

This young guy from Netherlands enjoy audio 100%! "At my age, most listen to cellphones playing lossy MP3 files. Not me! I've been experimenting and recording on cassette since I was young, and it's something that hasn't left me, as you might have seen". Daniel
